Don't know why the first thread took a dump on itself, but here is the break down again.

Old fearless (J) and I decided to go out local to make the best of the beautiful morning. We were going to meet up with some cool cats from spearboard for some beach diving, but my flat tire slowed us down and we made the best of it.

here were are gearing up

J and the trident

Yours truly about to launch

Paddling out

and two hunters celebrating their catch...nice

We did some garbage pick up at the launch(Snowdens) before we left-- gotta keep the community clean

all in all a great day..hope to see more of you MAC members out there next time

PostSubject: nice pics.   Mon Sep 29, 2008 6:35 pm

nice pics about your catch. I would be carefull spearfishing in that area. In that water gate, is a regular hangout for lemon sharks, specially when it rains and they open those doors. I caught a 5 footer there. Also this area is very comon for saltwater crocs. I've seen them specially in front of deering estate. And last but not least, this area is part of biscayne national park, just be carefull not to get caught with a spear in this area.

PostSubject: change is good   Tue Sep 30, 2008 9:30 am

if they changed that it is a good thing. there is a great snapper spot off chicken key! still, the lemon sharks are locals, at least in front of that Watergate next to the launching place. And the crocs i've seen are right in the entrance to the slip in deering and in the canal north to it.
